17 Wo Hop – Still Hop-ing After All These Years

Posted in friends, Life, Love, New York City, queer, self, USofA, World by Lori E. Seid on 30 December 2011

Our party of two was walked right thru the line….

It’s Your Lucky Day,  said one frozen-nosed guy with a big party-

It’s her birthday,  said we

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! the line shouted with cheers & pure loving glee, smiles all around…

A true NYC moment & gift….

Dinner was perfect. And the chinese broccoli in oyster sauce that arrived after the fortune cookies was doggy bagged, No Charge For You! Broccoli FREE….. An unheard of  Wo Hop Miracle!

But the crowd on the steep stairs on our exit out were not friendly – packed & pissed they would not move to let us back up to the street, extremely angered by the smallness of our table….

ONLY TWO OF YA?!?- SHIT! That Sucks!!!

But Chinatown is a gift that keeps giving and 2 doors or so away my mood was back to giggly…..

Thank you NYC and all you hold

PARIAH [puh-rahy-uh] noun; A Movie You Must See

Honestly, I knew nothing of this movie- my dear friend bought me a ticket & said;

Leave Your House- You Are Going...!!

Thank You Dear Friend.

Pariah is a beautiful, funny & real coming-out movie, representing AGs’ (look that up yourself if this is something you never heard of before, aka: Aggressives).

Afterwards, outside, this very smiley guy came up to me & my dear friend & said;

There’s the Star – did you like the movie – tell her – that’s her- it would mean so much!!!

We did. We loved her and the movie. She was absolutely fantastic & has a fabulous smile….

Adepero Oduye, star of Pariah outside Sunshine Cinema & that fabulous smile

Marissa Gaeta And Citlalic Snell, U.S. Naval Petty Officers, Share First Same-Sex Kiss At Ship’s Return

A Navy tradition caught up with the repeal of the U.S. military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” rule on Wednesday when two women sailors became the first to share the coveted “first kiss” on the pier after one of them returned from 80 days at sea. Read More Here!
